Life Audit

🎙 Conversations with the lost, the found, and the online — trying to map the modern maze of survival, purpose & process in a world quickly evolving due to AI & Automation.

The idea is many people want more out of life than they're getting, and there's abundant content selling dopamine & delusion instead of providing tangible strategies for realizing outsized career gains... Life Audit is about bridging that gap by interviewing 3 types of people:1) People who are lost (the search)2) Industry Insiders (the path)3) Content Creators & Influencers (the edge)

About the Host

Hey, I'm Jack B and I'm the host.

Short version:
I'm figuring it out in real time while documenting it because smart people recommended it to me.
Long version:
Email marketer currently stumbling through automation, podcasting, and digital leverage - in public.
I'm not another expert pretending to have all the answers but I enjoy asking questions and getting to the bottom of things. My goal is to either save people wasted time or help them gain clarity. Additionally, building an asset generally helps to realize more oppurtunities so this is that. Maybe it'll evolve into something else.

Example Interviews:

While this is a new project I'm starting, I previously hosted test/pilot podcasts while I was trying to determine a viable format. Here are some examples of those:

The Format

I interview 3 types of people:

1) The Search: People who are lost, stuck in search, overwhelmed, and/or trying to transition (like me).

  • For those asking; "How do I possibly move forward when all my prospects & efforts feel hopeless?". Job hunting alone is not enough (I see hundreds of Reddit posts each week from people expressing their difficulty finding work despite applying to hundreds of jobs with bonafide degrees and relevant work experience).

  • The modern answer: build an asset that lives in public — a project, a page, a post, or some signal that provides employers leverage into understanding your value as a potential candidate.

  • The point is to help you thrash out at least one actionable strategy you can implement immediately in order to create leverage. I don't have all the answers, I'm just another obscure person seeking clarity and chances are you are too.

2) The Path: Industry professionals with stability, expertise, or clarity (so I can aggregate niche insights).

  • These people have navigated the map of a career, and I'm trying to extract their insights in a helpful format for those seeking clarity & direction.

  • Most 'Search' guests are looking for these paths - but they don’t have a map yet.

  • The point is to see how the sausage is made, identify hidden leverage from people who've been there done that. Real insight, no BS. I think this segment could be a GPS for people who are lost.

3) The Edge: People who make money online - content creators, influencers, successful podcasters, nerds with $, ghostwriters, newsletter owners, etc.

  • These are people who built their own world and monetized it.

  • Not everyone wants to be a creator, but these days you must think like one.

  • The point is to deconstruct their processes & reverse engineer what it actually took for them to go from 0-1 on their own.

How it all ties together:

The Search gives you the problems. The Path gives you tried & true inroads from people who've actually driven them. The Edge gives you modern blueprints for standing out & creating leverage when applying blind stops working... I try to help you connect the dots in real time.

Let's chat?

If you’re one of the 3 guest types and want to chat, drop your info below. No pressure, no posturing, just a conversation :)

The podcast is a video call recorded through Riverside (a podcasting platform) which can be accessed through either chrome or via their app. If this doesn't work for you for whatever reason, just let me know and we can determine a viable alternative.
